Depending on manager and needs, you can take it when you want and there is a flexible "flex hours" policy where you make up hours within a few weeks.

As an hourly employee you can basically use your time whenever you want. They give you 48hrs at the beginning of the year for PT and as for Vacation time, you accumulate it at the end of each month. You start off as a new employee being able to accumulate 80hrs a year for vacation time and don't get anymore time added for 9 years. After that 9 year mark they bump you up to 120hrs and then at year 18 they bump you to 160hrs. This is for the union members. (hourly employees)
