Little to no on the job training. All is learned on the fly.

The training is probably some of the better training in the industry. Go to State Farm and get the experience then go to a competitor to make good money.

Some job training but corporate should step it up in this area. With the steep learning curve, a month long sales course should really be mandatory. or at least a few weeks. most training is optional and not fully supported by agents, possibly because they never went through it either.

For licensed claim associates, 6 weeks of trainer reading manual to trainees. Trainees fall asleep or call in sick during training, which puts them behind.

On-the-job training for me (Systems department). Probably because I was a relatively inexperienced intern, but they're really good about helping people on the job (just don't be totally incompetent and you'll be fine).

I work in a small office, both agent & office manager are poor at managing and training. Learned mostly everything on my own. Lots of trial and error, because I was not "trained" until I started my licensing almost a year and a half after I was first hired.
