If you dont have tricare prime, plan on paying co payments if you don't go to your specific provider. If you have a specific treatment you need then there might be certain bases you can get stationed at.

Health insurance is hit or miss while in the service. Since I have gotten out, I have been taken care of by the VA. They are timely and very very respectful, unlike a lot of healthcare providers in the Army.
