Walgreens employees who work 30+ hours per week can choose between two health insurance plans. Comprehensive health, dental and vision plans are available to employees for themselves and their dependents. Employees may choose to enroll in one of two Walgreens Consumer Driven Health Plans, which include an account called a Health Reimbursement Account to help pay for our employees’ healthcare needs. Employees can also choose between two dental programs with the Select option including Adult and Child orthodontia. A competitive and national vision program is also available. 2015 benefits will consist of a wide variety of medical, dental and vision options open to employees at the beginning of the new year.

It is decent, industry average. You get options to choose what is best to suit your needs, so the customization ability is good.

If you only buy self coverage the cost is reasonable. Out of pocket expenses are high no matter which plan you select, except prescription co-pays. To cover myself would be around $125 a month but just to add my spouse it skyrockets to over $500 a month on top of a 4000/10000 out of pocket max. The insurance used to be phenomenal then Obamacare along with the Boots Alliance takeover ruined the once great benefits--and this once great company. After almost 15 years I was able to find an all-around better job, better pay, and significantly less expensive health insurance after only a few months of job searching. Don't walk away--RUN from this place.

3 levels, bronze, gold and platinum. $300 a month for bronze, about $400-600 for gold, and over $800 for platinum per month. Have to fill at Walgreens pharmacies. Also had to work at least 30 hours a week to be eligible. It used to be 20 hours a week but they no longer wanted to cover part time employees.
