Walgreens employees who work 30+ hours per week can choose between two health insurance plans. Comprehensive health, dental and vision plans are available to employees for themselves and their dependents. Employees may choose to enroll in one of two Walgreens Consumer Driven Health Plans, which include an account called a Health Reimbursement Account to help pay for our employees’ healthcare needs. Employees can also choose between two dental programs with the Select option including Adult and Child orthodontia. A competitive and national vision program is also available. 2015 benefits will consist of a wide variety of medical, dental and vision options open to employees at the beginning of the new year.

As the self-proclaimed "Leader in pharmacy-lead healthcare" I expected better health insurance plans to be offered, I do understand that a lot of legislation has been passed lately that affected the health insurance landscape, but I just expected a Fortune 500 massive corporation to be able to broker better rates for the employees of their 8,000 stores plus ancillary outlets.

So laughably bad I don't even know where to start my critique. A suggestion to management: just give us the supposed "subsidy" that is "helping" to pay our premiums. With that subsidy, a number that I have a hard time even believing, I could actually buy decent insurance in the marketplace.

Probably their biggest benefits flaw after FSA. The benefits are lacking and the copay/deductible is pretty high for a healthcare company. Pharmacy benefits are moderate, but that's pretty disappointing considering they are primarily a pharmacy business.
