Walgreens employees who work 30+ hours per week can choose between two health insurance plans. Comprehensive health, dental and vision plans are available to employees for themselves and their dependents. Employees may choose to enroll in one of two Walgreens Consumer Driven Health Plans, which include an account called a Health Reimbursement Account to help pay for our employees’ healthcare needs. Employees can also choose between two dental programs with the Select option including Adult and Child orthodontia. A competitive and national vision program is also available. 2015 benefits will consist of a wide variety of medical, dental and vision options open to employees at the beginning of the new year.

The LiveWell benefits store will walk you through making the best selections for you and your family. I chose the highest level of health insurance and have a $20 copay for regular doctor visits, a $35 copay for specialist and urgent care visits (including physical therapy), amd a $100 copay for emergency room visits that do not result in hospital admittance. The plan includes prescription drug coverage where most (but not all) prescriptions can be had for $5, as well as free employee flu shots.

There is no more health care offered by any company in particular anymore, since the big changes occurred a few years ago.

Probably best for me because I use it very sparingly at this point in my life. I'm sure the older employees are not satisfied with it (because they have gone out of their way to mention to me how bad it sucks)

Very good plan, many people took advantage of it and I never heard any complaints. People used the cards from the plan to make purchases within the store.

Walgreens insurance, like everywhere else these days, is incredibly expensive. Unfortunately, Walgreens has been cutting payroll budgets to the point of dragging many of our full-time staff members under the minimum 30 hours per week; so, many people lost their benefits. The COBRA price to maintain the benefits is roughly the entire month's take-home pay for our non-management level employees. That's per person, too.
