Indiana University has been schooling Hoosiers since 1820. With a total student population of some 110,000, the university offers more than 1,000 associate, baccalaureate, master's, professional, and doctoral degree programs at eight campuses: flagship institution IU-Bloomington; regional campuses in Fort Wayne, Gary, Kokomo, New Albany, Richmond, and South Bend; and an urban campus in Indianapolis that is operated with Purdue University. The University of Connecticut (UConn) was founded in 1881 as the Storrs Agricultural School.
