I had two phone interviews: one with HR and one with the head of the Motion Graphics team. They sent me a mock client animation and give me a few days (less than a week) to finish a lot of work. They said they would give me a week but didn't send me assets until a few days had passed. I had to create pitches and storyboards for two ideas along with two looping animations for each idea (4 animations total). Then I was invited to 2U. They showed me around the building at first. I had a digital interview with a member of their team. 2/3 of the people that were supposed to attend that interview did not show up but this was meant to be a group interview. Afterward, I had another interview with the head of the team. I was surprised that they didn't give me feedback on my animation test. They had only asked me what I thought of it. I was told they would notify me at the beginning of 2019 about whether or not I received the position. I did not get the rejection letter until the end of January after following up. I do have to say that everyone was kind during the whole process. There were just many loose ends that made it frustrating for me as an interviewee. I wish that there was more timely communication and that everyone showed up to the interview.
