      Outside Sales Representative Interview

      Jun 4, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at ADP (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2018

      Interview

The process started with a 20 min. phone interview. After that, I was contacted to be set up for a one on one interview with the area manager a week later. Upon arrival at the office, the place was very quiet. It was an open office setting with cubicles, the manager's office was to the side. The interview didn't go well because once the manager found out that I had been unemployed for several months he shifted his attitude towards me. He then asked me how many other companies I'm interviewing with and I told him two more. He proceeded to tell me that getting a job is like dating, the more companies are interested in me the more they are likely to perceive me as hireable. He even said he didn't want to hire me, but tried to cover himself by saying that he had to interview more people. He also tried to give me "advice" by telling me to have more energy next time for the interview. It's funny he said that considering that the entire office was nearly dead quiet. I honestly thought he was being completely oblivious of his own surroundings. Of the entire office, there was only person speaking and she was on the phone! Everyone was dead quiet, I'm not joking. However, he did give me advice on another company to apply for, which I can't named because I currently work for them. I do a want to thank him on giving me that advice since my current employer is far better and treats its employees and customers with respect. From what I experienced, since this wasn't my first attempt at interviewing with ADP, they are very unprofessional and cutthroat. The manager I interviewed with stated that he likes his office to have a "Wolf of Wall Street feel." Aka as very hostile. Do yourselves a favor for anyone that likes to work there, don't.

      Outside Sales Representative Interview

      Aug 22, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Kendall, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ADP (Kendall, FL) in Jul 2024

      Interview

intense and brutal for no reason. The first round of interviews is a 30 minute conversation with the recruiter. The second round interview will be with the vice president and some of the sales manager. They were 45 minutes late to my interview, only for me to find out that I was never on their schedule. So the people that I prepared to interview with from the email were not the ones who interviewed me. Extremely unprofessional and unprepared third rounds of interview, you will be on the field with a sales consultant for the first four hours, uncompensated. You will visit some of their accounts with them and then come back to the headquarters to do an hour and a half interview with the vice president and some of the sales managers. Then they will conduct a role-play with you. Don’t sweat it, they understand that this is an entry-level job and you have no prior experience. my best tip is to be prepared to have pushback. The point is not to close the deal but to ask the right questions. Strongly advise to be prepared and do not read off of a paper, only bring your questions. after my interview, they told me that they would get back to me by The next day with their decision. It took them two weeks to email me their decision after a week of chasing them down for an answer. Extremely unprofessional and so disappointed by this company. The other reviews on glassdoor really matched up to the vibe of the office.

I interviewed at ADP (Baltimore, MD)

      Interview

Terrible communication. I was asked when I was available for a final interview and they never scheduled it when I was available. Why ask?. They provided times that I could come in but it would be days before letting me know (ex: telling me on a Mon that I am set for Wed at a specific time )
