The interview process began with a phone interview with someone in HR. The phone interview went really well and the girl who interviewed me was super friendly and could answer all my questions regarding compensation, commission, company culture, sales expectations, etc.
I made it to the second round, an in-person interview. I was interviewing for a position in a different town than which I currently live. It was about a 3.5 hour drive for me to get to the interview so we set it up so I could meet with not only the VP of sales, but also 3 of the sales reps. When I arrived for the interview, I briefly met the VP and he left me with some random sales rep to interview me. The sales rep was totally uninterested in the interview and it lasted all of 10 minutes. Never heard back after this interview from HR.
Totally poor communication and interview process. I ultimately decided that this was not where I wanted to work. After digging a little deeper into who works at the company, etc. It's very much like pledging a fraternity or sorority. I think this is a great environment if you're right out of college, but if you're trying to grow your career and you're serious about it- look elsewhere.
