I applied to Affirm through a recruiter. The process took about 8 weeks for me, but primarily due to scheduling challenges on my end. Overall I had a really great interview and offer experience with Affirm.

(2) Hiring Manager intro/screen
(3) First Round - 3 1:1 interviews with leaders from each product area
(4) Second Round - 1:1 interviews with a PM, BD Lead, Head of Design, Engineering Manager, and Head of Product
The recruiter and recruiting coordinator were extremely communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. They reached out promptly after each step and were transparent about what would come next. When I came on site, I was warmly greeted and everything went very smoothly logistics-wise. Throughout the entire process, the hiring manager and recruiter checked in on me to make sure that the questions I had were being answered as well.
Most of the interviews felt very conversational, with a balance of behavioral interview questions, product and design problem solving, and plenty of time to ask questions to the interviewers. I got the sense that some of the interviews may be tailored based on the specifics of the role and the candidate's experience. I appreciated that most of the interviews were 1:1 vs. group or panel because I felt I was better able to make connections with each of the interviewers and get a sense for what my future colleagues were like.
I did not have to do any homework challenges, but I did have several whiteboarding challenges throughout the interviews focusing on products I had worked on, Affirm products and non-Affirm products.
