Affirm Staff Software Engineer interview questions

Overall the interview process was very smooth and standard for an engineering company. At the beginning, I was given the option to do a take home or a typical white boarding interviewing. I chose to do the take home assessment. The take home assessment took about 2.5 hours to complete (I go overboard on test coverage, so took extra time on that). Normally I'm cautious on take home assessments, but this one was very reasonable. The onsite went very smooth. I was able to talk to a number of people from a wide variety of levels and tenure at Affirm. They were very open on the current state of engineering and the company direction moving forward. The systems design interview was fun to solve and work through. Overall, it was a very smooth experience.
