The overall process was very basic and straight forward.
Step 1. Recruiter: It starts with a quick run through of the job description and notes on your experience and interest.
Step 2. Hiring Manager: WebEx with the hiring manager. Again, very easy and straightforward. This is where you need to figure out if you want this individual to be YOUR manager. Interviewing is a two way street, sometimes people forget that. The questions were basic, "Tell me about your experience with a product" or "Tell me why you want to work at Albertsons"
Step 3. Four 30-45 min interviews with various individuals. The last one will be the most difficult.
Everything right now is all virtual so make sure that you're in a quiet place where you give all your attention to your interviewer.
One thing I disliked about virtual interviews is that everyone seems to run late. I find it completely disrespectful that individuals are late. I had 2 interviewers show up late and another was a no show.
The last interviewer was by far the most difficult. It almost seemed as if she didn't quiet know what I was applying for and answered me a lot of questions that were outside of my job description.
So make sure that you tell them what you're applying for in case there's any confusion.
Overall, the interviews were well setup and directions were easy to follow. The recruiter was new so I don't think she had that much details about the job or the people. With that, she wasn't much help.
Know your basic facts about Product Management and be prepared to really get into the details of running analytics. As a PM, you do need to know how well your Product is performing and that includes running reports. Albeit, that's what Business Analyst are for but eh, that's what they wanted for this particular role.
