I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at American Income Life (Grand Rapids, MI) in Sep 2016
Interview
First interview was a group interview. A long video was shown to the group describing the achievements of a man that none of us knew. A panel of about 4 people spoke about their experiences with the company, and at the very end, had each of us stand up and give 20 second intro on ourselves. They said they were interviewing us the whole time we sat in the room and would select a few for a second interview. The second interview was one-on-one with a manager and did not last very long.

Question 1
I was asked how I felt about them and not so much about my credentials as a potential candidate.

Interview
First was a "webinar" which is basically just an informational video. This was followed by a more standard interview which lasted about an hour. The interview process was very fast.

Interview
The interview wasn't even an interview at all. It was a powerful presentation about the bright and shiny benefits you can earn if you get hired. Here's the kicker, you'll get hired. Anyone can get hired. Literally anyone. What they don't really go into detail explaining is that the job is 100% commission based. You make a few sales, you'll make a little money, you make no sales, you make nothing. Oh! Let's also tie in the "paid training" mentioned in the "interview" is truly indeed paid...by you. Thats right, you pay for the initial licensing, exams, and fingerprints (a red flag to start off with costing $490 without even getting "hired") and still pay for the training. No need to sulk however, I was told it could be deducted from your commissions...that you can't make until you're licensed, fully trained, and have already vetted a few clients. Long story short, this is absolutely a MLM scam.

Interview
They hired me, refused to complete my training, demanded I schedule another rep's appointments for free, never reimbursed me as they contractually agreed, and now constantly text, call, and email me to get me to work for them again.
