Interview
I applied online and after 1 week received an automated message to do a pre-recorded screening interview. I submitted my video responses, then received another automated message a week later to submit a performance task. I spent 5 days and 20+ hours completing the task. After I submitted the assessment, it took nearly 6 weeks of following up before I received another automated email stating that I was not a fit for the role. In the 7.5 weeks from initial application to final decision, I had no opportunity to ask my own questions or speak with anybody on the hiring team. The only communication I had with a human was a single email from the recruiter 4 weeks after I submitted the performance task, which stated they would let me know when they had feedback for me. I did not hear back, so I followed up again 2 weeks later, which is when I received the final decision. I never received feedback. This was a negative experience because of the impersonal one-way communications, the lack of an opportunity to ask questions about the role or company, the intensive demands of the performance assessment, and the length of time it took to receive a response after completing the assessment. I will not be applying for any more positions at Amplify, and I would not recommend them to friends and colleagues.
