I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at AppNexus (New York, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
The interview process was very long, it started in August and got a ding letter in November. There was two phone screenings, after which I was invited to interview at the office. The recruiter informed me that there would be two to three interviews in the morning, each an hour long, and then a break for lunch, which they would provide. At the end of lunch, they told me they liked me and therefore would proceed with the afternoon interviews for another three hours - however, I could have been eliminated at that time afterwards. Following the in-office interview "super day," I had another two interviews over the phone.
The HR rep I was coordinating with was either very unorganized, or very overworked because there was a long time in between responses to emails, moving towards next steps, and clear communication in answering questions. I liked the firm and everyone I met was bright, and enthusiastic, but the needs of the team changed and no longer were they looking to fill the position.
1)Recruiter
2)Team member
3)In-person (day interview) half of day with two people half of day with three others on team
They usually ask the same questions throughout. Some people are nice but others seem to be on a power trip and come off cold and aloof even though you try to be friendly and joke with them. They try there best not to crack a laugh. Rigid environment it seems.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AppNexus in Oct 2016
Interview
I had one phone interview with the EMEA director, then met three people for 1h30 interview. They were very polite and professional. Unfortunately I think they're looking for people with an ingeneering background even for jobs that don't need it, their standards are too high.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AppNexus (London, England) in Sep 2016
Interview
I went through a series of phone calls and an almost 5 hour interview process at the company itself with 5 team members from various teams.
I appreciated how thorough and challenging the interview process was, but once you've spent so long having difficult interview after difficult interview with only one break in between, it can become very tiresome and I felt like my performance had dwindled by the end of the process. At the same time, maybe this was indicative of the fact that I wasn't right for the job...
