I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Asana (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
The interview process consisted of 4 steps: a practical (homework) assignment, recruiter screen, Product Manager interview, then an onsite with designers, engineerings, and other PMs (with a 15 min presentation).
The recruiter I worked with was great and I loved the overall process. The recruiter would clearly tell me, this interview will ask these sort of questions and this is how you should prep (so no playing games, no surprises). At the end they filled the position before I could do the onsite.
Picking an app you like and answering questions about it as if you were the PM for the app. What metrics you'd use to evaluate the app, how you'd improve those metrics, etc.
If you were a PM for an e-commerce company and you wanted to try out this one feature, would you, would you not? How would you know it was successful? What if the data showed X and Y? or Z and X?
We apologize for the delay in getting back to you, but wanted to thank you for your review! We appreciate you taking the time to respond and have shared your feedback with our team. We hope to keep in touch!

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Asana in May 2022
Interview
The process starts with a take home assignment. Everyone was super nice, and the recruiter was the best recruiter I have ever had. Even gave me feedback after rejections, which is very rare in most interview processes.

General behavioral questions, product design questions
After submitting my application, I was sent a homework assignment. It was fairly intensive, took me about 8-10 hours to complete and submit. They emailed me a few days later that they will not be moving forward with my application.

Question 1
What new feature would you build to test this assumption? How does it look and behave? What are the tradeoffs, risks, and metrics for success? Are there times when the feature would be used a lot but it is still not a success?
