Ascensus Bilingual Client Services Representative interview questions

I only spoke to the Recruiter. She sounded worn out and even annoyed at having to talk to me. There was a long pause like she wanted me to say something when she had not asked a question which made it awkward. She stated what the pay would be ($16.50) and I said I was expecting $17.50. I'm not sure what's standard in this company but for a bilingual position that seemed like a discriminatory low ball offer.
