The recruiter reached out to me via email to schedule some time to talk about the position. After I gave him availability, he told me to call him at a particular time on a particular day, which I found odd, since most recruiters will call you. I then called him on said day, and it went to voicemail. He called me back and we chatted for 5 entire minutes. He told me he wanted to put me in touch with the hiring manager and to send him some times that worked best. I sent him some times that worked best and he promptly scheduled a time for me to speak with the hiring manager.
The conversation with the hiring manager went well. She said she wanted me to come in the following day for an in person interview with her and another colleague that was in town, and wanted me to speak to another colleague as well on a different day. She said to wait for email confirmation from HR.
I never received said confirmation, so I reached out to the recruiter to confirm. This is the email I received from the recruiter verbatim. "Hi, we have decided to move forward with other candidates. We are not moving forward with you in the process. Please continue to review careers that fit your experience. Thank you."
The level of unprofessionalism is astounding. If this is who is responsible for hiring talent, I will be sure to never apply for a job at this company.
