Everything was virtual during COVID.
Pretty standard for engineering based role:
- HR phone screen
- Manager phone screen
- Written statement submitted before full day interview (which the panel reads)
- Full Day Interview (1 panel interview and 3-4 individual interviews with people that will be on your team + a Bar Raiser)
Before the full day interview, you are asked to submit a one page written statement about Why Blue etc. and then create a presentation about 1-2 projects you've worked on. During the interview, you talk about why you chose your career path, past work experience, and projects. After that, the panel asks questions in the group about your projects/experiences before moving to the individual interviews (which was nice, so you didn't have to keep answering the same questions).
The 30 minute 1:1 interviews were with people who were my potential teammates and hiring manager. They had more skill/experience based questions relevant to the job, and the Bar Raiser 1:1 asked STAR format questions and was more conversational (i.e. Tell me about a time...).
Overall pretty easy. You are just putting your resume in presentation format basically.
