I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CapTech (Richmond, VA) in Oct 2016
Interview
I was connected with a current employee and applied online. A week later I received a request for a phone interview, which occurred the next day. The phone interview was very relaxed and conversation-like. The interviewer asked me questions and I was encouraged to ask questions about her experiences and the company itself. Later that evening I received another email inviting me to the final round of interviews the following week at their headquarters in Richmond, VA. There was a social meet and greet on Thursday night - it was a ton of fun... I'm an introvert and tend to get stressed, especially when surrounded with about 60 other applicants, plus a bunch of current employees; However, I felt right at home and super comfortable walking up and talking to random employees. The interviews were the next day: two 30-minute behavioral interviews (one focused on my resume and professional experiences, the second focused on more personal skills), and one 30-minute technical interview (your normal "stand at the white board and work through some problems" type). I received a phone offer the following Tuesday, and the written offer the day after.
I had an interview with the recruiter. She was very nice and welcoming. Asked me about my experience and projects relevant to job description. Had some scheduling issues though. Overall good experience.
Several video calls, 1 technical and 2 social to determine fit. All calls were 1-1, polite and interviewers were knowledgeable. Discussion centered around culture at CapTech and basic knowledge of technical skills for a college hire.
