Have a masters degree but needed a job quick and had a connection here who was in management, so I figured what the heck.
There were so many red flags I don't even know where to begin. First I was told the job I was interviewing for was a Project Manager...but then it turned out to be Sales. Had almost weekly calls with a recruiter that went in circles. The recruiter kept asking me questions as to how many positions I was applying for externally, with whom, and how much they paid. One day after I told her she asked if I was "wasting her time" if I truly wasn't interested in the position...which I never said. I did get to speak with a manager and an upper-level executive, both of whom were nice. The recruiter briefed me before each call. I was told that the call with the manager would be the final call and if I did well in that I would get the job...which was concerning to me as they handled everything via phone...not once did we do a video call. I lost it when the manager asked me what my 5-year goal (law school) is and then in response to my answer she said "you better be willing to give up that goal if you start working here!". Didn't hear back from them after that.
It's quite clear they are looking for naive people who just graduated from undergraduate. I think she said the position paid $35,000/year. That's less than 3 dollars above DC minimum wage.
I will say, however, the recruiter was really nice.
