      Interview

I was contacted by the recruiting manager. She chatted with me on the phone about this position. She set up a zoom interview the next day with the manager. I mentioned since it's a short notice, it will be impossible to get a professional interpreter as I am deaf. The next day, my friend offered to do it for pay. I had to pay her out of my own pocket and she was a student so it was pretty unethical but I was desperate and she took advantage of that. At the interview, I was unable to express myself and show who I really am. For example, she asked a few questions which got lost in translation. One was if I am aware of of Salesforce. I know that software. The interview ended at 4 pm and I got an email with a rejection at 9 am. It was bizarre. The email said my resume and skills are impressive. I believe in my heart and soul they turned me down for nothing other than my deafness. I had all the skills needed but I was not given a fair chance. It disappoints me they advertise their workplace as being diverse and inclusive. I am disappointed in Michael Hansen. I poured my heart and energy into studying this role, the company and possible interview questions. I practiced for hours. I don't mind getting turned down but I want a fair chance.
