Cruise Infrastructure Engineer interview questions

Super unorganized process with an unfriendly interviewer, felt like a waste of time. This was a phone screen. The interviewer was not really interested in the interview. I was able to tell 4 approaches to solve the problem, and was asked to code sub optimal approach, which the interviewer did not realize was sub optimal, until I pointed out. After which point, he asked me to code it, as he said he was not looking for the most efficient approach. Lol, but Why ? I finished the code, and test cases passed. Got rejected 2 days later. Still wondering what went wrong ? The fact that I corrected him ? Didn't really felt the most sane place to work.
