Cruise interview questions

The interview occurred in three stages. The first was a coding challenge. That involved answering a set of questions in an allotted amount of time. You had to get every question right based on other reviews I've read. Make sure to catch up on SQL. The second was an on-call coding interview. It was one question for 45 minutes. It involved a system design question that had OS components such as concurrency. The last part was the onsite interview. It had 3 parts to itself. But they are similar to the other main parts of the process. One system design question and two programming question were involved in the onsite. Each done with a different engineer for 45 minutes.

I have had a chance to be interviewed by Cruise for backend software engineer position. I got a call from HR recruiter and they send me a HackerRank online test which was easy and completed. Very next day, I received a call from HR for next round of telephonic interview. The interview was scheduled in the next week and the interviewer was added in the notes. It was changed just before 30 minutes of the interview which is ok to me. But when I received the call, I found some other person taking my interview. The interview started with a normal way with an introduction and the coding question. The question was easy and had the flexibility to chose the preferred language. .Had to write a program and test with different input. In the end, while I asked about the project, the interviewer said, she is new and does not have knowledge about the backend. It is not a general software position and should have shared information of project/job.
