      Engineering Intern Interview

      Dec 19, 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cummins in Sep 2013

      Interview

The first round interview is with an alumni from your school. The interview is a strictly behavioral interview. They ask typical questions, like what did you do in such and such situation. The second interview is a purely technical interview, focused on automotive design. The interview goes through experiences in design, lessons learned form those experiences, and then specific questions about how you would go about designing specific parts.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How would you design a positive feed oil pump to spray oil on the piston rod in an internal combustion engine.
