I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Datadog (Singapore) in Dec 2023
Interview
4 rounds + take home test.
Completely depends on how you do in the pair troubleshooting round, as mentioned by many. It’s a weird expectation to know the product at that level, even if you have not worked on it. I felt like the whole process was to understand if you fit perfectly into a box they have for this role and if you are even slightly off the mark, they will not proceed. A rather unfair assessment, given the people already in this role are barely freshers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Datadog agent configuration issues, integration issues, logs and custom metrics, standard behavioural questions like why this role? Examples of tough customer interactions.
I applied through LinkedIn. It did not that that long to come back to me. They reviewed my resume and cv, sent me an email to have a phone screening interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at Datadog (Ciudad de Mexico) in Feb 2026

En total son 5 entrevistas, junto con una asignación para la casa. No te confies porque a pesar de llegar a la última fase puedes ser fácilmente descartada si no respondes las preguntas del director que es quien toma la desicion final
