Took well over a month, multiple panel interviews, disorganized, and overall a lot of lack of communication. I was told to do a “skill test” (free labor in the form of a presentation) in 3 days over a religious holiday weekend. I completed the test by deadline. I was told for my final interview (2 hour interview with 7 people for a level 2 position) to expect a conversation about my methods & why I chose the route. This was not what happened. Once the attendees joined the meeting , all of whom I’d already met over the past 6 weeks, I was bluntly told “introduce yourself and present your recommendations”. What?? I was so blindsided and confused, I stumbled through it since it wasn’t at all what I expected and was a very different atmosphere from my previous chats with the team. I asked for feedback good and bad but was only given compliments. I left feeling very negative. 2 days went by and it was silent. I reached out to my recruiter and said I’d like to be removed from consideration because my personality didn’t align with the team. She called me “as a friend” and said she was going to disregard my email because she just knew I was a perfect fit and that my feedback was good, she was waiting on 2 people to submit feedback and if it was positive she was going to send me an offer without approval. I still felt off but was like okay let’s see where this goes. 2 business days pass and I try to call her she texts me “can I call you later?” I said yes that’s fine. No call comes. I text her the next day “can I expect to hear from you today?” She says “tomorrow :)”. The next day I say “when can I expect your call?” “In 30 minutes” never called me. Is this place a scam? If you hold yourself to a high level professionally you should probably look elsewhere and not waste your time.
