Describe a time that you had to solve a problem?
Anonymous
I love this question. In the past I use to always try to talk about a problem that I had at a previous job, which became more of a hassle because I was trying to explain the job and the problem which made me tongue tied. The best answer you can give is a simple, yet relatable answer because the process is always the same... Example being, this one time I was emptying the dish washer when a glass cup dropped and shattered. I mentally assessed the situation and decided my kitchen cannot have glass shards laying around. I informed anyone(roommates) near by not to enter the kitchen. I chose the best method to fix the problem which would be broom and dustpan, because picking it up by hand would risk injury/safety. After sweeping up, I decided the best place for broken glass is the garbage bin. I then reassessed the kitchen to make sure I did a thorough job. Then informed all that the kitchen is safe. If they wanted to ask what happened I was glad to give an evaluation. Never think too hard. Problem solving is always the same... Assess. Plan. Ensure safety. Execute. Reassess. Celebrate
