The interviewer was the CTO himself. He talked about a design problem. I gave a solution. He asked about a more complex use case. I gave him another solution that takes care of this use case too. He did not seem happy. So, I asked him what he was thinking about the solution. He started saying it is complex and was happy with my original solution not the new one. I told him he asked to cover a complex scenario and my new solution covers that and is directly aligned with the principles of distributed systems. He got mad, he did not say anything but I could see it in his eyes. Anyway, I did not get the offer and I am happy that I am not working there.
