I applied through ERM website and got a call from HR in Singapore the next day. They asked about my experiences based on my CV and the salary. They were concerned about the salary since the salary they normally offer to this entry position was much lower than my salary. (But I worked in a different field and worked much longer hours so I said I am ok with that.) We talked over the phone a couple of times and came to an agreement on the salary. And then they arranged a phone interview with Senior Consultant and HR manager in Seoul, South Korea.
On the interview day I was waiting for a call but no one called me. After waiting for 20 mins, I emailed the HR manager in Singapore. Another 15 mins later, I was able to get a call from Senior Consultant. He said he did not get any notice and the Korean HR manager was not available for the interview.
He asked me several questions related to the job and the salary. I said that I have already talked about that but he said they won’t be able to offer the amount they suggested.
The next working day, HR in Singapore emailed me that they have “identified” a candidate and stopped my interview process.
During the whole interview process, they mainly talked about the salary from the beginning. I felt that they were just looking for a low-paid employee. It was such a good experience to learn about this company.
