The worst interview process I’ve ever experienced. I was contacted via LinkedIn by a recruiter at Edelman. After a few discussions with her I decided to learn more about the role and see if it would be a good fit. She described it as fully remote, which was a requirement for me, as I was not looking to leave my current job which was remote. I went through 2 months of 7 interviews for this role, speaking to many members of the team. I was increasingly gaining interest and was really excited about the opportunity. After my final interviews, the hiring manager told me this role was actually not remote. That leadership is requiring it to be 3 days a week in person. The whole process was a total waste of my time and energy. I lost a lot of respect for this company because of my experience with this and will not consider them again. It’s clear their leadership is not aligned and don’t value a flexible workplace culture (even though they claim to). They should’ve aligned and communicated this very important aspect earlier on with me, instead of dragging me through 2 months of interviews. Definitely a red flag and likely a signal of much more serious issues within the company.
