Process took about 2 months total. I completed the online application, then was chosen to submit a "video interview," which was just an additional application where I recorded myself answering questions. There was no 2 way conversation or questioning, so not sure why it's called an "interview" and why they couldn't ask these questions in the initial application. About 3 weeks after the video interview, I was asked for a live interview with the lead product owner. It was a productive interview with basic Product Owner questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time that a project didn't go according to plan, what you learned, and how you adjusted.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Edward Jones (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2024
Interview
It was pretty seamless and more conversational. I enjoyed sharing my experience and learning from the product manager’s perspective on how they manage backlogs and Pi planning. Definitely a place I’d love to be

Question 1
More situational questions and pretty laid back approach.
I applied online. I interviewed at Edward Jones in Sep 2022
Interview
I applied to this role and a recruiter reached out the same day. I received an an OnDemand Interview request, it’s one way, you are basically talking to your computer. The questions show up and you have all of 3 minutes to think through it and respond. It’s one take so if you run out of time, there are no do overs.
It’s well over a month and there’s absolutely no feedback from them. I reached out to the recruiter that I had communicated with but it was dead silence.
If candidates take the time to do this one way interview (which is such a terrible idea), the least you can do is review and provide feedback.
Please know that the interview experience is just as important. Once an interview process is in motion, the honorable thing to do is provide feedback but it appears that’s not a strength folks at Edward Jones have. Glad I won’t be working here.
