      Marketing Interview

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Emerson (Saint Louis, MO) in Sep 2025

      Interview

I interviewed for a marketing manager position. Here is how it went. 1. Virtual - With HR person 2. Virtual - Hiring manager 3. 3-hour onsite interview with the following people: HR manager went over the perks and cool things about the company, and checked qualifications like I got the job. 2 peer employees interviewed me and asked me job-related questions and qualifications. 1 senior management (VP of the director I would report to) 1 director I would report to/hiring manager I emailed a thank you on the Wednesday after my interview, and the hiring manager said - "enjoy your interview/talk on Friday". 4. Virtual - Interview with sales leader Then I did not hear anything until I followed up. And was told they went in a different direction. Looking back - here are my thoughts: The interview process was in a way nice because I got to meet so many people and understand so much of the job and company. However, what a time commitment for a manager role I was way overqualified for. I also feel like the hiring manager knew she was not going to move forward with me, and should have cancelled the last 1 hour virtual interview out of respect. After I was told I did not get the job (by following up after not hearing anything). I also got an email from the HR manager letting me know. And then another email from their automated applicant service telling me I did not get the role. I asked the hiring manager why I did not get the role, and there was no response. I feel that with this time commitment and the amount of time I spoke to the hiring manager, I at least deserved to know why.

      Interview

Interview was good and the communication was consistent. I was able to receive a response whenever I reached out with a question. This included follow-up emails, next steps, and inquiries on where I was in the process.

      Interview

The interview process was long. It lasted multiple hours and included multiple groups of people. The questions where typical and none were surprising. But, reiterating the same answers to 4 different groups of people seemed inefficient.
