Environmental Protection Agency Postdoctoral Fellow interview questions

First, PI has conducted my telephonic interview where I was asked questions about my PhD research. Then I was invited to give a power point presentation which was attended by most of principal investigators. The questions were based on how I conducted research, what was novelty in my approach.

The interview process was more of a continued scientific discussion. After the online application was complete, I heard back from the principal investigator (in the program that I was applying for), who scheduled a phone interview. The interview over the phone was very focused on describing my thesis work and introducing me to the concepts that would be involved in the project at EPA, the types of expertise I would need, and the relevant items to research before the next time we talked. Next was an on-site interview where I had a chance to meet with other principal investigators as well as the branch chief and division director. During the on-site interview, I gave a presentation detailing my thesis work and answered questions in a seminar-style format.
