I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Etsy (Dublin, Dublin) in May 2018
Interview
I applied online, the process took about a month. First, a video call with HR in NY, then a phone interview with a manager in Dublin. Finally, the last step was a face to face interview in Dublin office, followed by an assessment.
The face to face interview was full of STAR model questions (behavioral-based questions), the interviewers had a list of questions in front of them and picked them one after another which seemed a little unprofessional. Rather impersonal interview, they didn't seem to care about my personality or interests. You can read on their career website this statement:
"We value your unique talents and point of view, so feel free to tell us what you are all about. If you have an online presence (blog, Twitter, Facebook), send it along. And if you write, draw, craft, or contribute to something you’re proud of, we’d love to hear about it".
None of the recruiters were curious about any of the above so that statement is fake to me. Also, you should advise the candidates in advance that the assessment is going to be on Apple mac laptop - I've never worked on mac so it was confusing when completing the assessment as the system, key shortcuts, etc. are completely different from Windows laptop. I was unable to complete it properly because of that.
The face to face interview was with a manager and a team member. The manager was friendly and nice but the team member seemed to be extremely bored and sad/not smiled.
