Explain how lean manufacturing is implemented on process engineering? (Based on my previous Intern experience)

Based on my previous experiences while doing MBA, lean manufacturing can be simplified as eliminating waste that do not give any added valur to the customer. It is part of the process engineer's job specification to make sure that the process do achieve the company target and also satisfying the customer demands.
