      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FanDuel in Jan 2025

      Interview

The interview process took about four weeks and was well-organized. It started with a phone interview with the recruiter, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager. After that, I completed a case study presentation for a panel, and the final round was with the senior director. The recruiter provided regular updates, making the process smooth and straightforward. Overall, it was a positive and engaging experience.

      Interview

      1. Applied online and completed the initial recruiter screen- This was fine and I moved onto the second round 2. Scheduling the second round- This was a mess. The second round interview was supposed to be a panel interview with 3 individuals. The recruiter sent me an availability form which I filled out. Then, she reaches out a few days later to say none of the times I selected work and for me to give additional times. I was slightly annoyed here - as a recruiter, she has access to the interviewer's availability and should only be presenting me with a list of times that work for them. Also, I am only told then that all of the interviewers are based in the UK so only morning times should be selected. I proceed to give additional times and the interview is scheduled. Then a few days before, I am asked to reschedule because one of the interviewers had something come up. All in all, three weeks passed between the initial invite for the second round and the actual interview happening. 3. Interview - This was a 90 minute interview over zoom and a mix of scenario-based questions, competency-based questions, and team / culture-fit questions. The questions were not difficult, but the interview was tough because of the length and because it was hard to build a rapport because the individual you were interacting with would switch from question to question. From my other experiences, I think 40 min to 1 hour with a member of the product team is a better experience for the interviewers and interviewee.
