The first round is a phone call with the HR in LA office, asking about my background, why Flexport, etc.
Two weeks later I went for the second round interview and met 5 interviewers, from associates to VP. Each went for half an hour and had different questions/cases on me. The questions are overall not difficult if you have experience in scm/ops. The interview lasted for 2+ hours, I was tired when I met the last person.
Overall I feel I'm doing OK and one of the manager was quite positive about me joining the company. So I'm a bit surprised to receive the email with a No. The HR also explained why I was rejected, and I was surprised again that it was because I failed the case with that manager.
I can feel they want to find the best person so they have a pretty high standard, which is definitely reasonable. The recruiting process is well organized and smooth, everyone is friendly and energetic and pretty young.
Good luck to the future candidates.
