      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Freeport-McMoRan (El Paso, TX) in Oct 2015

      Interview

I was selected through a group at the university I am attending, only 10 interns were selected. We first had to do an essay then a 15 minute interview with the representatives from the group. Afterwards, we got to choose our company and I chose Freeport-McMoRan. Then I just called the supervisors from Freeport-McMoRan to let them know what I was interested in and the details for the job. Very satisfactory process.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Freeport-McMoRan in Apr 2015

      Interview

Got an email to set up a phone interview. Was put on speaker phone with 2 woman from that mine. Didn't seem interested in interviewing me, I think they had other things to do. Told me I would get an email the next week and I never heard back. Unprofessional.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What leadership experience do you have? What is your GPA? Talk about a time you were a leader of a group. Talk about a time you had a bad group experience and what you did to fix it.

      Application

      I applied online. I interviewed at Freeport-McMoRan

      Interview

Went through a phone interview. The interview went pretty well. Asked a lot of typical interview questions such as why are you interested in the position. The interview went well. One question they were definitely concerned about hiring new people was of their company-town location and how that would fit well if hired.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What is your desired salary? This was not only hard to answer but unexpected because it was for an entry level job and it is hard to put a price tag on myself looking for a job as a college graduate with no real experience.
