I applied on a Friday and received an email back the next day to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was very quick and just asked general questions and she explained the training schedule and pay rate for the position. Then she scheduled me to come in and take a computer test. The computer test was extremely simple and I should have known there was a reason for that being so simple. After I passed the test , which they call every person individually into a room to say if u passed or failed and then u either wait for an in person interview or take the walk of shame in front of the class. One girl failed. I waited about 20 mins for the first in person interview. This woman was like a robot. She was not personable at all. Not welcoming and extremely fake and put on. Then she said she would like me to continue onto the next step so I had to wait an hour and a half for the role play. The role play consisted of sitting in an office facing the wall at a wooden desk and reading a handbook on a fake company. There's 10 fake files and claims sheets. The interviewer tells me to study that in 25 mins and then I will start receiving fake mail deliveries and phone calls. When she started doing the fake phone calls , she sat behind me and would say "ring ring". I was soooo taken back by the level of these fake phone calls that I panicked. She pretended to be extremely rude customers - like raising her voice and stuff. I understand that it is to see how you handle a call like that . But I felt that was very unnecessary for an interview. Again this woman was extremely unfriendly. Geico stresses treating the customers great - in which they do but possible future employees I guess they don't have the same standards. They don't even shake your hand when they meet you. So needless to say - I received a decline letter and welcoming me to reapply in 6 months. But I will not be retrying that. It was humiliating.
