Fine. Not overly hard. Did end up taking a very long time. Moved quickly then they took forever to make an offer. Their cash comp offer was much lower than I expected.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at GitLab (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2023
Interview
I was contacted on linked by a Gitlab recruiter. Had a zoom call and was told that I was almost exactly what they were looking for. He explained there would be 3 or 4 more interviews and the total process could take 3 weeks or more. (Due to scheduling and and a distributed work force, made sense.) He said he’d reach out in 24/48 hours. I sent a ty email a day after. 6 days later I messaged him on LinkedIn to see if more info was needed, no response. 10 days later I thanked him for his time and wished him luck on filling the role. To be ghosted by a company of this size and reputation was shocking to me. Especially after how well (I thought) the initial call went. Be better Gitlab.
