Given a GUI design on a whiteboard, how would you design this software?

In this case, I needed to design a photo browser. Emphasis was placed on being able to scroll without lag and zooming the thumbnails without lag. I also needed to specify how opening photos would work and how the basic functions could be implemented with a class diagram.
