The best interview process I've ever been a part of (except for one minor detail...keep reading!) I would expect nothing less from Greenhouse. Every conversation was pleasant and informative. There was no repeated questions which shows that the interviewees were all in sync and prepared. Initially it started with a phone screen with an AM / Recruiter which discussed my background, the role, and the company. Had a follow up call with the recruiter on my expectations/compensations, etc. Then I was scheduled for another phone call with my potential manager regarding more experience based questions on account management, customer success strategies, all that good stuff. Then I was assigned a take home project which was fun and engaging. Gave me a sense of what I would be doing in the role. Finally, I went on-site and met with a total of around 8 people including the office manager / HR team. On-site was a breeze, very comfortable and casual. Presented my take-home assignment and did a case-study with potential manager. After, I had a chat with 2 members of the team just strictly about personal goals/hobbies (non-work related), which I really enjoyed. Finally, wrapped up with the recruiter and was on my way home. Ultimately ended up not making it pass the final round. However, the recruiter did schedule some time with me to give me closure and to discuss the reason why they did not move forward with me. I felt the process was very transparent and I knew exactly what was going on at all times. The reason was simply, they chose the candidate with more HR software experience. I totally understand, but in this day and age, anyone can learn a software quickly. No where in the interview process did we discuss HR platform experience, how to use, etc. so the ONLY recommendation I would have is to possibly include that for future candidates.
