I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Guitar Center (Salem, OR) in May 2015
Interview
Applied online and was notified a few days later for an interview. You then go in and sit in a group of other applicants and ask rather simple gear questions to identify whether or not you'd be a good salesperson.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked questions gauging whether you could sell or not.
Well thought out interview pretty easy, I thought it went well but didn't get offered a position. I still feel like they are a good company although I heard they changed there commission structure in the past few years.
Simple and to the point. They want to know if you fit into the company culture. They also want to know what your skill set is as far as musical ability. It is very easygoing and relaxed

Interview
Felt like I was being interrogated or discriminated against, as if this were an important career. Dude, you hire high school students. Give me a break. Avoid applying to guitar center.
