      Director Interview

      Jul 8, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at HCA Healthcare

      Interview

4 interviews completed within 4 weeks. Very front heavy and then ended up getting ghosted. The pay was low compared to competitors and the benefits are poor. 401k vesting is an insane 6 years! It’s an indicator of poor retention. No LTIP offered. Overall a very sour experience.

      Easy interview

      Interview

I interviewed for a Director-level role and went through two rounds. Unfortunately, the process felt disorganized and not aligned with the seniority of the position. First round: The hiring manager arrived late and mentioned personal obligations. The conversation lasted only a few minutes, mainly to explain that I would be asked to complete a take-home assignment. The instructions provided were inconsistent, and I was told I could “work on it over the weekend,” which felt unprofessional for a senior-level process. Second round: The follow-up was scheduled for only 30 minutes. Again, the interview started late. The conversation focused entirely on reviewing the assignment, which was treated more like a finished product than an exercise. There was no opportunity to discuss my experience, the team, or the role itself. Follow-up: A few days later, I received a generic rejection email that didn’t mention the position or provide any feedback. Takeaway: The process lacked structure, transparency, and respect for the candidate's time. For a senior leadership role, I would have expected a more focused discussion on strategy, leadership, and collaboration rather than a mis-scoped exercise and rushed conversations.
