I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Harbor Freight Tools (Palm Springs, FL) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied online and was contacted less than a week later for an immediate interview. Literally called 1 hour before the interview was to start. I informed her that I would love to come but I am not dressed for an interview. Her response was oh well we are only interviewing today so okay! I have been to 2 other Harbor Freight interviews.... One where I turned down the offer and the other was not extended an offer as I was explained that they had already made an offer for the position. Not a standardized interview process. It is on the fly questions from management to get a feel of your personality and work ethic!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Harbor Freight Tools (Chino, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
Very professional because I already have been in the company for a while. Asked about my likes and dislikes. What my weaknesses are (room for improvement). Strengths and contributions to the company. What the numbers look like for my store. Where do I see myself in the future? Here of course robbing my own store.

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Harbor Freight Tools
Interview
Only had to go through one quick interview to get original cashier position, was very easy and asked general questions. In order to get a management position you must interview with the store manager and district manager. They base a lot on how you can sell yourself, because you need to be able to sell their warranties and inside track club.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The manager will explain our extended service protection, and Inside Track Club membership briefly. They will then ask you to sell them one to see if you can be a good salesperson.
