I work at a corporate Starbucks location and interviewed at a lisenced store at my local Harris Teeter to supplement for the hour cuts my corporate location was going through. During this interview I was told I'd be a perfect fit and they wanted to get me started as soon as possible, the manager of that department just wanted to check to see if he coukd negotiate a higher rate of pay due to my experience and what I was currently being paid at the corporate location in comparison. He said that if I didn't get an offer email within a couple days to call and he'd get it sent to me. After not receiving this email, I called to learn that the manager of that department had transferred to another store and the new manager said after speaking with me he would converse with the old manager to get up to speed and then contact me. After another week I called back and talked to him asking if there was an update on the offer. I was put on hold for a couple minutes, after which a different associate picked up and said the manager was having him play messenger and told me they had decided to give the position I was told I had for almost two weeks to someone with apparently more experience, even though I had been working at a corporate location for a long time. This is so unprofessional and a waste of my time. I was promised this job for two weeks, just for it to be taken away, and the person taking it away had to get someone else to tell me instead of answering my questions himself. Its pathetic, and someone like that doesn't deserve to be a manager. It's so disrespectful and disorganized of this company to treat hires this way. Now I am not making income I was planning on making and I'm struggling to make ends meet/
