The best way to resolve conflict is a meeting to discuss the issues asking nicely which I did as soon as possible as time makes it worse. Listen well identify their perception of the issue and apologize for any role you may have played. I outlined the consequences of the conflict shows why it’s necessary to resolve it. If this did not resolve the issue I would have asked include a member the HR team in on the meeting. During the meeting it was important to keep control and not allow immaturity to rein in the conversation. I also made it clear as to why we are holding this meeting and what the expectations are for the outcome.
