How would you solve a customer conflict?

I would first assess if the situation was safe and appropriate enough for me to try and resolve before contacting management or a superior. If the situation was getting out of hand and not in my place to attempt to help anybody, I would call a supervisor or management. If management wasn't present, I would turn off my register light and try to diffuse the tension.
